Within the wilds of Rancho Arroyo Grande there exist three compelling vineyard block designates — Portero, Coquina and Zepherino. The estate’s vineyard plantings total 230 planted acres, with over 3200 acres of wilderness remaining. Our three blocks share the land with California Oak and native plants, bears, feral pigs, bobcats, mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, raptors and deer.
Rancho Arroyo Grande, comprised of 230 acres of vineyards and 3300 acres of wilderness, is located between Lake Lopez and Los Padres National Forest. The ranch's history, biodiversity, and viticulture which sourced the first U.S.-branded wine in 1871, continue to draw intrigue. In recent years, the ranch has expanded with an equestrian center, horticulture center, and artist and music recording studios. The current owners are committed to ecological sustainability, achieved by ensuring the health of the vineyards, its surrounding wilderness and the diverse community that interacts with the land.
